Geysers Road Bridge

This Phoenix Column bridge was originally a railroad bridge, but was relocated to its present site over Big Sulphur Creek in Sonoma County in 1937.

Haupt Creek Bridge

Like others in the area, this Phoenix Column bridge was originally used as a railroad bridge. The 130’ span now crosses Haupt Creek in Sonoma County.

Gualala Road Bridge

Originally a railroad bridge this 130 foot span was relocated in the 1930’s for vehicular traffic. It crosses the Haupt Creek near Annapolis.

Old Tennessee River Railroad Bridge

This bridge spans the Tennessee River near Florence. At one time there was a railroad crossing on the top that was removed in 1939. The lower portion that was once used for vehicular traffic has now been restored and is in use as a pedestrian crossing. Photography – Historic American Engineering Record

Red Rock

Crossing the Colorado River, this bridge was part of the Atlantic & Pacific Railway connecting Arizona to California. It was later used as part of US Route 66 for vehicular traffic. It was replaced in 1966. Photograph courtesy of Wikipedia
